In the beginning...

Whoops, I was going to write more, but I got a late start and my wife was calling me to come to bed. Anyhoo, like I said, I'm going to give this blogging thing a whirl for a year. I know, I know, I have a kazillion other things to do. I'm hoping this won't take up too much time and will give me an excuse to journal a bit. Well, at least once a week, I hope. Anyway, we'll see what happens...

Oh, I suppose I should introduce myself. I'm Hamburger Lad. I have a real name, but for now I'm going to remain incognito. I don't know if I'm going to want to rant about work or church or the neighbors or something and may want to maintain anonymity. Anyhoo, I'm a middle-aged geezer living in Seattle, Washington. I've got a wife, two-kids, a house, a job and a big pile of papers on my desk. I'm a Christian with conservative theology, but slightly liberal politics, so I don't fit in well with most cliques. I have no real hobbies, but a few interests here and there: theology, science-fiction, history, genealogy, sociology, comics, music. Occasionally I get out of the house and take a hike in real nature. I work in the printing industry, because it pays the bills. I have no career goals. A while back I discovered that my life's ambition was to get married. So that's done and now I've got to figure out how to spend the 30 or so years I have left...

Okay, I'm going to try this blogging thing for a year. Let's see how it goes.
